These integrated property services are value-driven where local expertise combines with regional and international capabilities to produce efficient business results.
Professional Development
Training and re-training are key elements to the career development within the Savills group in Asia Pacific. In addition to daily mentoring and weekly team meetings, regular seminars, information programmes and skills-development projects are held both in-house and offsite throughout the year.
Many of these involve representatives from our regional offices, enabling an exchange of views and expertise, sharing of problems and development of regional solutions.
Undergraduate and Graduate Trainee Programmes
Undergraduates are encouraged to test their aptitude for a career with Savills during regular university vacations. They work as interns, being assigned to a variety of tasks designed to test their interest and challenge their capabilities. Long-term relationships with our company have developed from this programme.
In the latter part of the University year, our Senior Directors and mid-management staff visit major universities and give introductory seminars for near-graduates. Students are then invited to apply for consideration in our Graduate Trainee Programme and places are highly sought-after. Hundreds of applications are received each year and all prospects are carefully considered, with those short-listed being given final interviews with senior management.
Successful candidates then embark on a two-year program of rotational assignments in various departments and their development is monitored. At the conclusion of their training they have the opportunity to further their career in the business area for which they have shown most promise and which aligns with their own preference.
At Savills, we believe in motivating everyone to develop their potential and to take on responsibilities and new challenges when circumstances permit. Regular staff appraisals enable line managers and individuals to review progress, identify areas for development and explore potential.
